Statement regarding the protest at Julie Bishop's office on Friday, July
13

I was distraught to learn that a member of my staff was involved in the
protest at Julie Bishop's office last Friday. I did not know the staff
member intended to participate, or that such a protest would take place.


I have asked for the resignation of the member of staff involved.

The Greens do not condone violence in any form.

I have spoken to Ms Bishop's office in order to inform her of my
decision and my concern for her and her staff that such a fracas took
place in her office.

I hope to speak with the Minister to personally convey my concern at the
earliest possible opportunity.
