We hear you workers!
The Greens continue to oppose Government cuts to public service jobs, leave loading and long service leave entitlements.
Greens MLC Tammy Franks today joined a crowd of thousands outside Parliament House to oppose public sector cuts.
"This Government has lost its way," she said.
"These cuts are going to affect nurses, midwives, firefighters, ambulance officers, student support officers, health service workers, correctional services and many others who work with the most vulnerable people in our community."
"The Greens will continue to oppose public service cuts and the other regressive measures in the budget including adult re-entry cuts and school amalgamations.
"Education is critically important and all youth should have the opportunity to turn their lives around and return to study later in life."
In Parliament today, Ms Franks tabled amendments removing cuts to the public service from the Statutes Amendment (Budget 2010) Bill.
The Rann Government's proposed budget will slash 3,750 jobs from the public sector over the next four years.
