Greens MP and NSW Federal Senate candidate Lee Rhiannon said:
“I'm looking forward to speaking to locals and hearing their views
when I am in north-east New South Wales on Friday. The Greens will
also be announcing our Federal candidate for Page.
“At the Greens community meetings and forums I am keen to hear from
locals about what issues are important to them and to get feedback on
the Greens’ priorities for the federal election.
“Across NSW, people are concerned about a lack of investment in public
transport and the impact of Rudd's health plan on local hospitals.
North-East NSW is no different.
“The Greens are campaigning hard to ensure NSW again has a Federal
Senator working to tackle climate change and give voice to local
issues such as aged care and the closing of the abandoned
Casino-Murwillumbah rail line.
“A NSW Greens Senator in Canberra will give us a much needed voice on
matters like protecting our natural environment and water sources,
coastal over-development and long-term planning for aged care.
