Brown Meets Kadeer in Canberra

Australian Greens Leader Senator Bob Brown had an hour-long meeting with
Uighur Leader Rebiya Kadeer in Canberra this afternoon. 

Senator Brown was at the world premier of the film about Kadeer The 10
Conditions of Love at the Melbourne International Film Festival last
Friday night.

China tried to have the film banned. The film will be shown at 9 a.m. in
Parliament House committee room 2S1 tomorrow.

Senator Brown assured Ms Kadeer that the Greens would work for
self-determination for the Uighur people. 

He will move a motion on the issue in the Senate on Thursday.
