Liberal, Labor Senators vote down Launceston rally motion

In the Senate today, Liberal and Labor Senators voted down Greens Leader
Bob Brown's motion that the Senate:

		Congratulates the 10,000 or more Tasmanians who turned
out in Launceston last Saturday to protest against the proposed Gunns'
pulp mill for their civic pride, concern for the environment and
peaceful expression in the best of democratic traditions.

Family First also voted against the motion.
