Greens response to Emissions Trading Task Group report

Australian Greens Climate Change Spokesperson, Senator Christine Milne,
will respond in detail to the report from the Prime Minister's Emissions
Trading Task Group.

"Adopting the Task Group's approach would put Australia deep in debt to
today's big polluters, at an extortionate rate of interest.

"A slow start to emissions reductions means far greater costs in the
years to come. Taking action early and fast is cheaper, more
economically efficient and more environmentally effective than
delaying."
