ROAD SAFETY CROSSES PARTY LINES - BARBER
Greens MLC Greg Barber has congratulated the Government on its advertising
campaign reminding the public about road speed limits.
"Road safety rules are important in the inner part of my electorate, with
conflicting uses of road space, such as pedestrians, schools, shops and
cyclists," said Mr Barber
"The ad campaign reminds drivers that 50km speed limits exist in built up
areas where they are not signed, and with the return of kids to school
this week, there are 40km limits outside schools."
"If you want to fight global warming, you need to make the roads and
footpaths safer for kids and their parents walking and cycling to school,"
said Mr Barber
