Abbott wrong on birdflu - Greens

The Minister for Health's contention that 'there would never be enough
anti-virals' for all health workers in a bird-flu pandemic is wrong,
Greens Leader Bob Brown said today. 

"It's a matter of allocating the resources," he said.

"The Minister has changed tack. He should adopt the best option of
supplying pharmacies with bird-flu test kits so that anti-virals could
be allocated over-the-counter by pharmacists to those who have caught
the infection," Senator Brown said.
