Greens throw ‘not so happy’ first birthday party for Cross City Tunnel 

What:  Greens MP Lee Rhiannon and local residents invite you to celebrate the tunnel turning 1.  (Premier Iemma opened the tunnel on 25 August 2005)

When: 11am, Sunday 27 August 2006 

Where: Land bridge whereDarlinghurst Rd and Victoria Stcross over the western entrance tothe Kings Cross Tunnel (near Coke sign and ‘stick and ball’ sculptures). 

It’s a year on and the Greens are planning to throw a colourful party for a child of the NSW government that no one wanted.

* Party games: ‘Pass the Buck’.
* Birthday cake stall: raising money for the axed William Street bike lanes
* Gift suggestions: Tunnel needs more cars and trucks. Bikes not welcome.
* Birthday cards: Send Premier Iemma a Cross City Tunnel birthday card.
