The Juanita Nielsen Memorial Lecture Series

This is the sixth year of this lecture series, initiated by Greens MP Lee Rhiannon in memory of Juanita Nielsen. It is widely believed that Juanita, publisher of the independent paper "Now" and active participant in the Green Ban campaign against high-rise development in Kings Cross, was murdered. Police have reopened the investigation into Juanita’s disappearance 21 years ago.
