Condom banning chemist should find another day job

Greens MP Lee Rhiannon has advised the chemist in the Hunter Valley
that has been reported refusing to stock condoms or the morning after
pill, to sell the business to someone who will.

"Chemists play an important part in our community, giving basic
health assistance, with sexual health being part of this service." Lee
Rhiannon said.

"People should be encouraged to practice safe sex and not be
obstructed by people's outdated beliefs.

"If this chemist can't stomach people having sex they shouldn't
be in the business of providing health care."

"Everyone should have the right to practice safe sex- it's 2005
after all."

"Morality has no place in a chemist shop", Lee Rhiannon said.
