Brogden's lunch with the
big end of town goes to his head

The irony of having Opposition Leader John Brogden announce public service job cuts while lunching with his mates from the big end of town is disturbing, Greens MP and industrial relations spokesperson Lee Rhiannon said today.

"It is disappointing to see both Liberal and Labor regularly dine with the big boys and tantalise them with visions of public sector cuts to fund tax cuts at the expense of workers and their families," Ms Rhiannon said.

"Sadly, Brogden will have to aim higher though to meet Finance Minister Michael Costa's stated aim of sacking 20% of the States' public servants.

"At the moment Brogden is only sitting at a bit over 10 percent.

"This confirms The Greens are the only remaining political force committed to a strong and dynamic public service able to deliver improved key public services NSW residents so badly need.
