Media Alert: First report on NSW Government’s $252 million grants scandal delivered today at 10am

The first report of the Public Accountability Committee’s investigation into the $252 million Stronger Communities grants scandal will be handed down at 10am today.

The report details the highly politicised use of public money in the lead up to the 2019 state election, the lack of critical documentation and the shredding of key reports. Importantly it has concrete recommendations for a grants system that is free from political interference and one that delivers for community need not political greed.

When: 10am Tuesday 30 March 2021
Where: NSW Parliament Media Room level 6
Who: PAC Chair David Shoebridge and PAC members including John Graham and Courtney Houssos
Why: Handing down the first report on NSW grants scandals
