Senator Rhiannon to attend Extraordinary Council Meeting to discuss Badgerys Creek Airport

WHAT:  Australian Greens Senator Lee Rhiannon will join the community at the Blue Mountains City Council's meeting tonight to discuss the proposed airport at Badgerys Creek.

This Extraordinary Meeting has been called to consider the Council's submission on the Badgerys Creek Airport's Environmental Impact Statement.

The meeting tonight is expected to be lively, with significant community attendance.

The Greens have long campaigned with the community against an airport at Badgerys Creek. Today's reports that the World Heritage status of the Blue Mountains National Park could be lost if current plans persist, has raised further alarm bells.
