Premier Mike Baird compromised by appearance in Daily Telegraph advertisement

Premier Mike Baird's decision to appear in an advertisement for the Daily Telegraph was ill-advised and inappropriate, according to Greens NSW MP John Kaye.

Dr Kaye said: "It is deeply inappropriate for the Premier to be appearing in such an advertisement.

"Mike Baird has put himself in a very compromised position.

"Less than six months before the 2015 state election and the Premier is out there advertising for one particular media outlet.

"He has exposed himself to the risk of being accused of currying favour with one outlet in order to get appropriate coverage during the election.

"Members of the public who expect robust and unbiased media commentary will be disappointed in the Premier's actions," said Dr Kaye.
