Leaked conditions of approval for T4 coal loader

Responding to reports about the leaked set of draft conditions of approval for the T4 coal loader (http://bit.ly/1bZrRte)  Australian Greens NSW Senator Lee Rhiannon said:

Reports that the NSW Planning Department are recommending the T4 coal loader be approved are an affront to the right of residents to be consulted and their concerns acted on.

The Coalition's failure to listen to community concerns about the expansion of the Hunter coal industry is a setback for addressing coal-related health impacts and reduce greenhouse gas
emissions.

Now that the O'Farrell government have followed the Abbott government and rolled over to meet the interests of the coal industry, protests and non-violent direct actions will become critical in building support for a clean future for the Hunter.

All eyes will now be on the Planning Assessment Commission to see that due consideration is given to all voices in this debate - not just the coal barons and NSW government.
