Australian Greens Senator Lee Rhiannon at NSW Supreme Court to support Jonathan Moylan

Jonathan has pleaded guilty and will be appearing in court for sentencing today. He is facing up to 10 years jail and $765,000 in fines for an action which drew attention to the controversial Whitehaven coal mine and ANZ's ongoing finance of destructive coal projects.

Senator Rhiannon said, "Jonathan is a principled young man. He does not deserve to go to gaol or face a heavy fine. His courageous actions have been of great significance to the growing movement for climate action and helped the campaign against coal mining.
