Media Conference to reveal harrowing video footage of undersize shark death, Greens to question Minister in Parliament on drum line numbers

What: Footage of an undersized shark floating dead in the water has been captured by volunteers aiming to shed light on the shark cull policy ineffectiveness. 

Greens MLC Lynn MacLaren and Managing Director for Sea Shepherd Jeff Hansen will be holding a conference to reveal the footage. Questions concerning the effectiveness of large hooks set on the drum-lines will be asked by Ms MacLaren in Parliament this afternoon.

Why: WA Premier Colin Barnett has gone ahead with the controversial shark cull policy despite strong community and scientific opposition. The Greens WA and Sea Shepherd will be representing those that do not want great white sharks, bull sharks and tiger sharks culled as part of a policy developed with no scientific backing.
