East West shows Napthine’s Berlin Wall hypocrisy: Bandt

Greens Deputy Leader and Federal Member for Melbourne has hit back at the Victorian Premier’s attack on the proposed Melbourne Metro.

Victorian Premier Denis Napthine has said building the Melbourne Metro would “be worse than the Berlin Wall.”

“Denis Napthine’s hypocrisy is as offensive as his hyperbole,” Mr Bandt said today.

“The East-West link will physically divide communities, destroy houses and trash parkland and the construction phase will see parts of inner-Melbourne  become a permanent building site.”

“Perhaps he fears that public transport is a communist plot, but the Premier should join the rest of the world in the twenty-first century.”
