Greens Democracy4Sale team analyses AEC data out tomorrow

WHAT: The Greens ‘Democracy4Sale’ team will analyse Australian Electoral Commission data for 2012/2013, due out tomorrow – Monday 3 Feb.

WHY: To see who donated what to political parties in 2012/2013.

WHEN: Updates will be provided during the day as analysis continues.

WHO: Greens Senator and democracy spokesperson Lee Rhiannon is available for comment.

Analysis will include:

·         Who are the big donors?

·         What are the major trends?

·         How do the donations compare with previous years?

·         What is happening in the controversial industries such as tobacco, mining, gambling, alcohol and property industries?

·         What are the implications for private funding of the 2013 federal election?
