[Greens-Media] Greens NSW MPs Statement on Martin Place Tragedy

Greens NSW MPs, Mehreen Faruqi, David Shoebridge, John Kaye, Jeremy
Buckingham, Jan Barham, Jamie Parker and Senator Lee Rhiannon have
issued the following statement on the Martin Place tragedy.

"Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the two
Sydneysiders who lost their lives to a violent gunman.

"We extend our deepest sympathies and thoughts to all those affected
by the tragedy in Martin Place.

"We acknowledge the very real dangers faced by police and emergency
service workers over the past 24 hours and thank them for their
courageous work on behalf of the people of NSW.

"It is now time to let the police undertake a thorough investigation
unimpeded by speculation or uninformed commentary.

"Let's make sure that this tragedy doesn't tear us apart but makes
us stronger and more united as a society that prides itself on
inclusiveness, peace and harmony."
