What:             Protest over EPA approval of canal development at Point Peron

Who:              Lynn MacLaren MLC, Greens WA spokesperson on urban bushland and Member for the South Metropolitan Region, encompassing Point Peron 

When:           Wednesday, 8 May, five days before appeal deadline 

Where:          10:00 am outside the Cedar Woods office, 50 Colin St, West Perth
                         11:30 am on steps of Parliament House, West Perth 

Why:              Privatisation of much of Cape Peron
          Risk to the Thrombolites in Lake Richmond through changes in water level and quality
          Risk to seagrass in Cockburn Sound through dredging
          Loss of 33.5 ha of Bush Forever site compromising wildlife on the Cape
