Victorian Greens leader Greg Barber says we should get ready for a mining
industry 'spin campaign' in Victoria over coal seam gas and tight gas.

"The mining industry now says coal seam gas and other unconventional gas
mining in Victoria is 'natural' and good for you.* Like, say, muesli. Get
ready for a spin campaign like you've never seen before," said Greg Barber
MLC

"Calling it 'natural' gas doesn't make it a healthy product. It's a fossil
fuel and extracting it and burning it has big impacts on land, air and
water."

"Renewable energy is getting dramatically cheaper every day. We should
ditch the plans to sink gas wells all over the place and move to a plan
based on renewable energy sources," said Mr Barber
