Bandt to do Reddit iAMA

What: Greens Deputy Leader Adam Bandt will host an iAMA (Ask Me Anything) on the popular social news sharing site Reddit which allows its users to vote up or down posts and comments to the site.  Hosting Reddit IAMAs are an increasingly common event amongst prominent people and celebrities in the United States, but have been less common in Australia where Twitter and Facebook dominate. For example Jaan Tallinn (co-founder of Skype), actors Dolph Lundgren, Ethan Hawke, Zach Braff and musician PSY have all done iAMAs. But it was President Obama’s hosting of an iAMA during the recent Presidential campaign which solidified the potential of the platform's political power.

Adam Bandt, who already has a big following on Twitter and Facebook, is expanding into other social media platforms such as Instagram, Google+ and Reddit for this election.
