Senator Lee Rhiannon said: "The Greens are supporting this rally to send a strong  message to the state and federal governments that people value our nation's heritage and are deeply committed to protecting Thompson Square.



"The O'Farrell government have shown they don't care about our heritage and are willing to use their weak planning laws to force through a project the public clearly do not want.



"Now this project has been declared State Significant Infrastructure the Coalition government are ignoring heritage and environmental protections. The federal Labor government should move quickly to protect this nationally significant site.
