Greens call for urgent action on Peel

Speaking from the Healthy Estuaries 2111 forum in Mandurah today Greens MLC, Giz Watson called on the Government to provide a fully funded management body for the Peel Harvey inlet.

'The inlet was described by many speakers as being on life support,' she said.

'With an inlet hovering on the edge of collapse there has never been a greater need for a fully funded management body,' she said.

'Just as the Swan River has a Trust, so the Peel Harvey needs a similar body,' she concluded.
