The Baillieu government has tabled an Air and Health Impact Assessment for
the Anglesea coal mine* in Victorian Parliament, after a sustained
campaign by Victorian Greens Leader Greg Barber and the Anglesea
community.
"I will now seek expert review of the report," said Greg Barber
"Alcoa publishes similar reports from other states on its website**. But
in Victoria it's like pulling teeth."
"The mine should close. It is too close to the Anglesea community and it's
eating up an endangered heathland. The lack of respect and secrecy
displayed by Alcoa is just one more reason," said Mr Barber
