Greens welcome Drug Court award

"I congratulate the Perth Children's Drug Court on their award for excellence in the category of preventing and reducing alcohol and other drug problems in young people," said Giz Watson MLC.

Ms Watson attended the Alcohol and other Drug Excellence Awards presentation this morning.

"The Greens support this inaugural event which recognises outstanding contributions to harm reduction," she said.

"I particularly support Master of Ceremonies, Dr Norman Swan's, comments that it's extremely important that we do all we can to keep young drug affected people out of the criminal justice system," she said.
