[Greens-Media] Media alert: Move to refer shaky economics of channel deepening to new state upper house committee

Greens MLC Sue Pennicuik will move a motion in Parliament today to have the
economics of channel deepening examined in detail by the new upper house
Standing Committee on Finance and Public Administration.

'The cost of dredging has more than quadrupled since it was first
announced, and is likely to blow out to over one billion before long,' she
said.

'It's appalling that dredging is about to begin and we still don't know how
much it will cost or who will pay for it.'
