Investing in energy efficiency provides the best alternative

Australian Greens Climate Change Spokesperson, Senator Christine Milne,
will call on the Prime Minister to replace proposed tax cuts with an
ambitious project to retrofit Australia's 7.4 million homes with energy
efficiency measures.

"Investing a proportion of the billions allocated to tax cuts in the
Greens' energy efficiency strategy would bring together the advice of
Bernie Fraser and McKinsey and Company. It would massively reduce
greenhouse emissions, deliver Australian families savings on their
energy bills, and would be a non-inflationary investment in Australia's
infrastructure."
