Greens to initiate Senate inquiry into weak 5% target

Australian Greens Leader Bob Brown and Deputy Leader and climate change
spokesperson Senator Christine Milne will hold a press conference in
Canberra today to announce the terms of reference for a Senate inquiry
into the Rudd government's weak 5% emissions reduction target, to be
held when Parliament resumes.

Senator Brown will also talk about the massive emissions reduction
achievable through ending the logging of native forests and woodlands.

Senator Milne will also be addressing a rally on the Parliament House
lawns at 12.30pm.
