Greens call on government to immediately end native forest logging 

Report says native forests store 3 times as much carbon as previously
thought (9 times as much in Tasmania's Styx Valley)

Australian Greens Leader Bob Brown will hold a press conference in
Parliament House today to respond to the 'Green carbon' report released
by Brendan Mackey from the Australian National University.

The report says native forests hold 9.3 billion tonnes of carbon (a car
emits 4 tonnes per year).
