Opponents of Turnbull, Garrett visit pulp mill site
Greens candidates for Wentworth and Kingsford Smith, Susan Jarnason and
Sue Mahony, will arrive in Tasmania tomorrow to visit the site of Gunns'
proposed pulp mill and to meet with locals affected by the proposal.
Friday, 28th September 2007
9:30am - Tom Millen (Greens candidate for Bass) to pick Sue Mahony
(Kingsford Smith) and Susan Jarnason (Wentworth) up from the Virgin
terminal at Launceston airport.
11am - Candidates visit Holm Oak Vineyard and view proposed pulp mill
site 

12:15pm - visit Bell Buoy Beach, site of proposed effluent outflow and
meet local community members 

2:15pm - Press conference with Greens Leader Bob Brown, Princes Square,
Charles Street, Launceston 
3pm - visit native forest clearfell site and proposed logging coupes at
Mt Arthur (20 mins from Launceston)
