Climate Change Coal Crisis Meeting, with Senator Bob Brown

What: An emergency public meeting in response to the recent approval
of the massive Anvil Hill Coal mine in the Upper Hunter.
Why: To engage the public in a campaign to stop Anvil Hill and other
coal mines and help put the brakes on climate change.
Who:	Speakers include Greens Leader Bob Brown, Steve Shallhorn CEO
Greenpeace Australia Pacific, Christine Phelps of Save Anvil Hill
Alliance and Graham Brown (ex-coal miner).
Where:	Marrickville Town Hall, Marrickville Road
When: 2-4 pm, Sunday 24 June 2007.

The Iemma government has approved the massive Anvil Hill coal mine
that will create 27 million additional tonnes of CO2 each year,
equivalent to doubling the number of cars on NSW roads.
The decision to approve the Anvil Hill coal mine leaves the Iemma
government's climate change credentials in tatters.
It is a slap in the face to communities who want real action to stop
dangerous climate change.

Sponsored by: Marrickville Climate Action Now, Nature Conservation
Council of NSW & Greenpeace.
