Greens wish Steve Bracks all the best for the future
Greens MLC Sue Pennicuik said that the Greens wish Steve Bracks the very
best for his future outside parliament.
"The job of Premier is very demanding and we recognise that Mr Bracks has
been an energetic Premier who has been committed to the people of Victoria
and the best interests of the state," said Ms Pennicuik.
"While there is much to do in areas such as education, public transport and
water in particular, we acknowledge that the Bracks government had a big
task ahead of it when it came to office and that investment in public
infrastructure has increased."
"Mr Bracks indicated that family issues played a part in his decision to
resign and it is a reminder of the toll that the life of an MP can take on
personal relationships, particularly when parliamentarians have young
children."
"We wish Mr Bracks and his family all the best for the future," said Ms
Pennicuik.
