Howard should break with Bush over Iraq - Greens

Prime Minister John Howard should withdraw Australia's troops from Iraq,
Greens Leader Bob Brown said today.

"It is time for Prime Minister John Howard think independently pf
President Bush and withdraw Australia's troops from Iraq. The oil
imperative does not justify the bloodshed or risk to Australian troops,"
Senator Brown said today.

"Sixty-two per cent of voters think Australian troops should be
withdrawn from the Iraq (see today's AC Nielsen poll) and the Iraqi
Prime Minister says Iraqi forces can secure the country 'at any time',"
Senator Brown said.
