A Coal Crisis Summit, initiated by the Greens NSW, will be held in held in the NSW Parliament today.  The Summit brings together nine key environment groups to develop a united campaign to stop the proposed expansion of the coal industry in NSW. It is anticipated that the Summit participants will announce a range of actions to stop this expansion.  

Summit Participants: Greenpeace, Total Environment Centre, The Wilderness Society, Nature Conservation Council National Parks Association, Climate Change Action Network, Mineral Policy Institute, Friends of the Earth and the Australian Student Environment Network.
