Greens slam government's plan to send more Australians to Iraq violence

"The Government's decision to send an extra 40 Australian troops to Iraq
is wrong and culpable," Greens Leader Bob Brown said today.

"Mr Howard is helping make up for the Bush administration's plan to
withdraw more US troops as US domestic support has slumped," Senator
Brown said.

"The bloodbath in Baghdad is appalling and Australian troops should be
withdrawn," Senator Brown said.
