50 foxes horrify

The assessment by fox expert, Nick Mooney that there are 50 or more
foxes in Tasmanian is horrifying news, Greens Leader Bob Brown said
today.

"This is a national environmental and agricultural emergency. It
warrants federal and state funding to cover every sensible measure to
combat the fox infestation. 

"If a fox plague spreads across Tasmania the economic impact will run to
billions of dollars this century," Senator Brown said.
