Gunns loses another court battle

Tasmanian woodchip giant Gunns Ltd has lost another important court
battle.

Three judges sitting in the Supreme Court of Victoria have refused Gunns
leave to appeal against an arbitrator's ruling that they were not
insured against losses when their woodchip pile at Burnie was
contaminated by rubber in 2000.

The contaminated woodchips were rejected in Japan. Gunns claimed
insurance from its insurer.
