Greens condemn attack on Jewish youth centre 

An attempt to set fire to a Jewish youth centre in Bondi is an ugly expression of racism which has no place in Australia, said Greens MP Lee Rhiannon today.

“Violence against Jewish and Islamic communities in Sydney is strongly condemned by the Greens,” Ms Rhiannon said. 

“Political leaders have a responsibility to speak out against such attacks. 

“The destruction and carnage in the Middle East has distressed the entire world. 

“Violence begets more violence and attacks against the Jewish Youth Centre in Bondi and the Parramatta Synagogue are an expression of this sad fact,” Ms Rhiannon said.
