Tractors arrive next week!

"Fair dinkum food campaign" overwhelmed by support en route from Tasmania to Canberra. 

ACT Greens MLA Deb Foskey is lending support to the Fair Dinkum Food Campaign that arrives in Canberra next week for a big protest and barbecue in front of Old Parliament House on Thursday August 11.

 The campaign is non-political. The farmers are calling for clearer labelling of food product, allowing people to chose Australian and local produce.  The campaign began in June Tasmania this year, and a herd of farmers and tractors left Melbourne two weeks ago to take their show on the road through Victoria and NSW. They arrived in Bathurst early this week and are now on their way to Sydney, before heading for Canberra. Their cause has been so popular that they have had to hold up to three rallies in the one day in some of the towns they have passed through. 

There will be a couple of representatives from the group in Canberra and available to the local media, from Tuesday next week.
